Primary goals Essay Example for Free
Primary goals Essay The chosen company is Ingram Micro which operates in a business process of delivering information technology products globally to partner establishments. The main products involve computer parts, peripherals, telecommunication devices and IT solution materials. à There are three primary goals which Ingram Micro has set for its business operations. First is to expand its reach over international markets in the distributorship of technology products. Second is to earn the respect of the IT market by implementing the right aspect of customer service. Third is to fabricate ideas and implement them to become the foundation of future innovations in the information technology marketing industry. Overall, the goal of the company is to be regarded as the best channel in distributing technology to the world. Based on the research material about goal setting, Ingram Micro seems to meet the criterions in effective building of goals. One aspect is by setting the performance value instead of outcome. Apparently, goals that are set for the principles of outcome will tend to fail because of uncontrollable factors (Mind Tools, 1995). Ingram Microââ¬â¢s decision to set its performance based on customer relationship and satisfaction is one proof that it is on the right track. One more factor in goal setting according to the researched article is to set goals just at the right level. In this aspect, Ingram Micro implements an innovation approach on marketing which can provide a not too high expectation of results but is still a feasible procedure in development. In order for Ingram Micro to achieve the goal of broadening its reach globally, it can start by understanding the different economies in which it intends to invest on. This process will provide it a big picture on how stable the economy is in terms of political and investment feasibility. On the other hand, the goal of earning the respect of its clients can be done by ensuring that each customer will be able to get superior customer service even on after-sales matter. The on time and accurate delivery of quality products should also be an important thing to consider. References Ingram Micro. N.D. Vision, Mission, Values. Ingram Micro Corporate Website. Hemingway :: essays research papers
From the time Ernest Hemingway became a renowned author, his works, as well as his life, have been analyzed by many. Under such scrutiny, many aspects of Hemingwayââ¬â¢s works and life experiences have been in question to the realities and fallacies, which he laid forth. Much of Hemingwayââ¬â¢s life, especially his time volunteering as an ambulance driver in Europe, has been in question to the true validity of his myth as a true adventurer and hero. However, as I have found, much of the mythology surrounding Hemingway is very true indeed, which leads me to believe that he did not embellish his life but rather used his experiences to create some of the greatest works of literature to be written throughout the twentieth century. à à à à à One of Ernest Hemingwayââ¬â¢s greatest novels, ââ¬Å"A Farewell to Armsâ⬠, has been surrounded by controversy among literary, as well as historical, scholars regarding Hemingwayââ¬â¢s inspiration for the famous novel. Many feel that Ernest Hemingway created this fictional book solely from his imagination rather than his experiences, while others believe that Hemingway drew the inspiration for this book from his experience as a volunteer ambulance driver throughout the war. Even though there has been much controversy, there is documented historical proof that the experiences that Hemingway had experienced from his time in the war had influenced his creation of ââ¬Å"A Farewell to Armsâ⬠. à à à à à One of the most prevalent sources for Ernest Hemingwayââ¬â¢s inspiration for ââ¬Å"A Farewell to Armsâ⬠can be found in his relationship with ( ?Anges, the Amer. Nurse), who was a love interest and nurse at the hospital that Hemingway recuperated at after being injured by machine gun fire. The relationship that was created between Hemingway and (Anges) led to the inspiration and creation of one of the main character in ââ¬Å"A Farewell to Armsâ⬠, as Mrs. Catherine Barkley. The similarities between these two characters of Hemingwayââ¬â¢s life, one real and the other fictitious, is astonishing. For instance, both Catherine Barkley and (Anges) where pretty American nurses during a war, while both also being in love with a wounded ambulance driver at their hospitals. à à à à à The similarities between the people of Hemingwayââ¬â¢s life and his fictitious characters can also be found between Lieutenant Henry, the main character of ââ¬Å"A Farewell to Armsâ⬠, and Hemingway himself. Once again, the similarities between these characters is astonishing; so much that Lieutenant Henry seems to be Hemingwayââ¬â¢s idea of his younger self rather that a fictitious character.

Family in the 21st Century Essay
Family inthe 21st Century Introduction à à à à à à à à à à à In the past years family has been the base of the society but there has been an enormous change in this 21st century. This change has brought a new meaning of a family. There are a lot of factors that has contributed to this change of the real meaning of a family. This change is not for the better of the family but for the worse and because of that there has been a failure in the society. à à à à à à à à à à à The real concept of the family according to peter, 1998 was based on extended family where all families were staying together even some under one roof. In those families, children were taken-care by all members of the family. This has eventually changed in this century where now families live far from their relatives and even most of the children they do not know their grand parent (Clarke et al, 1998). This has made evil to increase in the society in that relatives can marry because they do not know one anotherââ¬â¢s origin. In the past, families consulted their grand parents during difficult time, but in this generation there is no respect between families and there grand parents. This reflects the true meaning of a family in this generation. à à à à à à à à à à à Mothers were not allowed to work outside home job a century ago; this was for the advantage of the children because they were raised in a good manner. Due to change in labor market in this generation the percentage of working women has increased. This has caused a situation where both parents are working and thus childrenââ¬â¢s are left to house workers, this is the reason why the young generations of this century are so evil because they do not have anybody to guide them. That is the new meaning of families today where they are so business oriented and they forget parental (Clarke et al, 1998). à à à à à à à à à à à Families of this century have become ant-technology in that they spend all their time on televisions, phones and in the social media. This is not only children only but also parents. Parents lack time to teach their kids good morals and they end up to be a problem in the society. The exposure of children to this social media has caused them to be introduced to evil things at a younger age. Due to lack of time between parents and childrenââ¬â¢s, there has been lack of unity in the todayââ¬â¢s families (Clarke et al, 1998). à à à à à à à à à à à This is because parents are to busy with their work and they have no time with their childrenââ¬â¢s and even themselves. The new concept of families today is that families do not know each other. Parents do not know each other and children do not know their parents. Lastly many families today consist of single parents or children being raised by their grand parents this is because of divorce in many families. Conclusion à à à à à à à à à à à The concept of family has changed in the 21st century for worse and thus family has lost its position as a corner stone in the society. The evil that is in the society today is due to the failure of the family to stand in its position. Children are the most affected in this dramatic change of families, this is because when parents divorce childrenââ¬â¢s are the ones who suffer and when they lack morals due to their parentââ¬â¢s failure, they are still the ones who suffer.
